Thrust bearings are not suitable for applications which require high speed or radial load. The standard cages used are pressed steel cages or with copper alloy machined cage and in some cases also have molded cages.

Spherical thrust roller bearings can carry high axial loads. They can also support radial load if magnitude is no more than 55% of the axial load being carried. These bearings cannot be used for high speed applications. They are usually used with oil lubrication. |
